Fish and zentangle

For my grades 4, 5, 6 at Kanata Montessori school, I made a paper maché fish using recycled materials: a plastic juice bottle, empty paper rolls and cardboard from a cereal box. I decorated it with a marker inspired by this post,  glued circles cut from the inside of envelopes I received by post mail  (hydro, insurance, credit card bills envelopes have lovely patterns inside) and attached beads with wire.
Tomorrow I will upload some of my student's projects.

Zentangle

I knew about Zentangle when I read an article on it in a Cloth Paper Scissors magazine few years ago. When I saw Holly Dean's post and this one on the subject, I decided to give it a try. I ordered  this little book, bought some markers and took everything with me when I went to visit my family in France. What a perfect project on the plane! I always liked doodling with patterns...
