Medieval visual art camp, final project

The final project for this art camp had for theme: "Life in medieval time". Students could choose to paint any scene they wanted as long as it had a medieval component

Medieval visual art camp, day one

Yesterday was the first day of the medieval visual art camp for children at the studio. I have delightful and enthusiastic students!
We started with Chartres cathedral and its medieval city.

New artwork on the way

I started to prepare for the upcoming Rideau Valley Art Festival in Wetsport, Ontario at the end of August. Here are some of the backgrounds I'm working on and from where (magazines) I got the inspiration for colour combinations.

Raphael, the cellist

This morning, I received this video of my nephew Raphael (first on the right) performing in a concert and I would like to share it with you. Beautiful piece. Enjoy!

Studio clean up

When "it" distracts me too much from painting, I know it's time....time to clean-up and re-organize my studio. I'm half way done.
