Still Life

Wednesday was the last class for the Spring program on “Still Life” at the studio. One of the project was a mixed media still life inspired by a fresh flower bouquet from the garden. Students were very engaged and enjoyed this program. So did I, beautiful atmosphere in the studio.

La couleur rose au printemps in Hamilton and at the Royal Botanical Garden this weekend.

Nicho

Grades 4, 5 and 6 created a nicho as part of the “South America” art program at Kanata Montessori School

This small built in shadow box is used during the celebration of the Day of the Dead, a popular holiday in Latin American countries. It celebrates the lives of people who have died. The Day of the Dead is not a sad or depressing time, but a time of happiness and celebration.
