Wire sculpture

Today I’m starting to teach grades 7 and 8 at Kanata Montessori School. First project we will do as a warm-up exercise for wire sculpture is “Main de Fer” (French expression meaning a firm authority). This is an idea from Marie-Claire Idées magazine.

Aujourd'hui je commence à donner mes cours aux 7ièmes et 8ièmes années à l’école Montessori de Kanata. Le premier projet que nous allons faire est "Main de Fer". C'est une idée tirée du magazine Marie-Claire Idées.

Alexander Calder

One of the sides I enjoy very much about teaching is the research for a subject and then the experimentation. Alexander Calder's artwork always fascinated me. Preparing a class inspired by his work for grades 7- 8 at Kanata Montessori was really fun!

 Pour la préparation d’un de mes cours pour les 7ième et 8ième années à l’école Montessori de Kanata, j’ai choisi le travail d’Alexander Calder.
