Nicho
Grades 4, 5 and 6 created a nicho as part of the “South America” art program at Kanata Montessori School
This small built in shadow box is used during the celebration of the Day of the Dead, a popular holiday in Latin American countries. It celebrates the lives of people who have died. The Day of the Dead is not a sad or depressing time, but a time of happiness and celebration.

The Lion King at Kanata Montessori School
Kanata Montessori School Theater presented the Lion King on April 12th. An incredible performance and experience. So proud of grades 7 and 8. They worked hard painting panels and making masks.

Sculptures of "Nanas" and Miles Davis inspired by French artist Niki de Saint Phalle by my grade 9 students at Cedar Ridge High School in Kanata. Quite proud of them :)
