Few weeks ago, I was “artist in residence “at Richmond Public School where I taught workshops on clay reptile to the whole school. Amazing cross curricular activities followed; from math with pie charts and graphs about the rain forest to fundraising for the Wild Life Federation and the Rideau Conservation Authority; parents gave a donation to “purchase “the clay reptile made by their child. Fantastic ideas. This was a beautiful experience for the students. Students also decorated the whole school for the occasion.

Sewing and knitting

Feeling very creative…. Went to my favorite fabric store C & M Textiles in Ottawa, purchased two lovely blouse patterns for the summer and some bright coloured polka dots ribbons. Then to my wool shop “Wool Thyme” to add more colours to my collection for the sweater which I started last summer. So many ideas in my head! Tomorrow sewing and knitting, woo hoo!
